Most of our family lives in California, but circumstances(job, finances, illness, etc..) always seem to interfere with us making a trip out there. This usually results in our holidays consisting of just the four of us. Steve's parents passed away a few years ago. I don't know why, but something seems to happen to the dynamics of a family when a parent passes, and especially when both parents pass. In the case of Steve's family, traditional holiday gatherings with all the siblings had seemed to dissipate. It had been a few years since we last saw Steve's brother and sister, so there was a lot of excitement in our home when they told us they were coming to Utah for Thanksgiving. Kennedy, thrilled with the anticipation of seeing her cousins, was marking the days off the calendar. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about how things would flow after such a long period of time, but it was as if no time had passed. The week turned out absolutely perfect! How wonderful it was to have everyone together, especially the kids. I will forever be thankful to Steve's brother for initiating the trip out here. How grateful I am for the blessing of Thanksgiving.Jeffrey, Sam, Christopher, Alex, Kennedy and Dominic
