Wow...has it really been six weeks since my last blog? So much has happened during the past month and a half, that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed at the idea of having to catch up with time. I apologize to my few faithful followers who have continued to log on during my absence. I promise there will be a lot of content to view over the next two weeks as I return to blogging bliss.
So, where have I been? On July 26, I was taken in for gallbladder surgery. After enduring six weeks of pain(similar to labor contractions), I had a gallbladder attack that would not cease and landed me in the ER. Luckily, I had an ER doctor who was thorough enough to put the pieces together and give me the proper treatment. He sent me to the hospital the next morning for a HIDA scan, which determines the functioning rate of the gallbladder. Apparently, the gallbladder is suppose to work at 35%, or above, and mine was functioning at 9%. An hour and a half after the test, I was in the operating room. I was discharged from the hospital 24 hours later, but had a slow recovery. It took a few weeks for me to return to my normal self, and I was a little worried if full recovery would ever come...but, it did. I am happy to say that I am feeling 100%, and so very relieved that I was diagnosed quickly and correctly. So, there it is, another added chapter of drama to our lives this year. The blessing is that I continue to learn the lessons of love that our neighbors, friends and families teach us during these times with their generosity and support.

I am glad that you are feeling better. So many people have to suffer with that pain for months before they will confirm a diagnosis. Good thing they were able to find it and do the surgery so quickly.
