During my absence from blogging, one of my dear co-workers passed away. There are few words to describe what a great man he was. I was shocked when I learned of his stroke at such a young age. I will forever miss his laugh, humor and kindness. I will miss you Hefa, like so many others whose life you blessed.
OBITUARY

Hefa Reggie Tuita passed away peacefully at age 39 due to complications of a stroke surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born July 27, 1969 to Leini and Tuitu'u, in Angaha Eua, Tonga. Hefa played football for Provo High and graduated from Spanish Fork High. Hefa was above all a very devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He loved and cherished his wife and kids more than anything and was extremely passionate and supportive in all aspects of their lives. His selflessness, loyalty, dependability, overwhelming laughter and humor was felt by everyone. Hefa lived life to the fullest. He saw and brought out the good in everyone and everything.He had many accomplishments, most importantly he married his best friend, Karley Allred Tuita on September 1, 1990. He served as a volunteer firefighter and fire and rescue for Spanish Fork City for nine years and was past president of The Spanish Fork Fire Association. He was also a proud member of The Utah State Firemens Association and enjoyed attending the state convention every year. He worked very hard and successfully owned and operated Tuita Construction for nine years. He was president of The Provo Steelers Ruby Team the first year that they took state. He proudly became an American Citizen on September 10, 2008 and a first time voter. He was currently employed at Provo Canyon School, Summerset Campus and was very proud to be a loving mentor to the boys that had become an important part of his life.

Preceded in death by Uhila Setafano_, Manase Mohuanga, Mosese Lavaki, and a fellow fireman, Sterling "Red" Leifson.Survived by his loving wife, Karley Tuita; his children, Tiana, Taylor, Hefa, Soane, Tu'l Niua; parents, Leini (Saane), Tuitu'u (Uhila); siblings, Soane, Vea, Maletino, Olivia, Tolofi, Isikeli, Viliami, Christina, Ray, Nia, and many half brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.The Tuita family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care given to Hefa in ICU at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.Rosary will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The viewing will follow from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. All services will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church, located at 65 East 500 North, Orem, UT. Burial will take place at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hefa Tuita Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Branch or The Bank of American Fork, in Spanish Fork, UT.
